Who We Are / Joanne Woolfenden
Joanne Woolfenden chose physical therapy as a career as a means to empower people, to educate them and assist them in seeking wellness in their lives. She earned her Bachelors of Arts degree from the University of Hawaii in Zoology, and her Bachelors of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She has worked as a therapist and instructor at the Burdenko Institute of Water and Sports Therapy, and worked in private practice utilizing deep water exercise and dry land training to rehabilitate patients. She has published professional articles on Parkinson’s disease and the use of deep water exercise in the treatment of orthopedic injuries. Joanne enjoys working in the supportive, positive, and creative environment at Experience Momentum.
Joanne’s passion in life right now is her family: her 3 children and husband. When not spending time with her family Joanne enjoys fitness, hiking, and biking. She plays on a women’s recreational hockey team and a co-ed recreational hockey team. She is a board member for WWFHA, a Seattle area organization dedicated to promoting the sport of ice hockey for girls.
